  1. The application for subsidy shall be made in the form prescribed by the board and shall be accompanied by the certificates specified.
  2. The capital subsidy meant for coconut farmers who do not own individually more than 2 ha. of garden land/dry land suitable for coconut cultivation.
  3. Among the above category only those who bring a minimum of 0.063 ha. (ten seedlings) of new area under coconut but not more than 2 ha. are eligible for subsidy.
  4. The applicant should have the legal right on the land for new planting.
  5. The seedlings for planting should be obtained form the Govt. nurseries or nurseries recognized by the concerned State Govt. Or Coconut Development Board or self raised seedlings.
  6. The planting density inmonocrop system should not be less than 160 seedlings per ha. and not more than (200 seedlings) the officially recommended level in each State.
  7. The seedlings from the very beginning should receive all the recommended management care including to use of various inputs.
  8. Every year the disbursement of subsidy installment will be effected only after the expected cultural and other operations are carried out in accordance with the recommendations in force from time to time.
  9. The subsidy will be granted on the basis of the actual stand of the seedlings planted for which subsidy was received, if dead or damaged, should be replaced by the grower himself and for this no fresh subsidy will be granted.
  10. The beneficiaries should prominently display a board in the plot indicating that the plot is subsidized by the Coconut Development Board Cochin in English and Regional language at their own expenses.
  11. If plants for which subsidy was received were willfully destroyed, then the owner should remit back the subsidy received with 12 percent interest.
  12. If any person is found to have obtained subsidy by fraud or by misrepresentation, the entire amount of subsidy with 12% interest shall be liable to be recovered.
  13. A successor in title to any land in respect of which subsidy is received shall be eligible for future installment of subsidy subject to his applying for the same in the manner prescribed by the Board and subject to his furnished a declaration to the effect that he shall abide by the terms and conditions of the board prescribed from time to time.
  14. In the case of power of attorney holders they should enclose an attested copy of the power of attorney certificate alongwith the application.
