Other Training Programmes organized at South Andaman Zone

 

·         Participated in “Island Kisan Mela” organized by Central Islands Agricultural Research Institute (CIARI), Port Blair on the theme “Island Agriculture” on 09th   and 10th April’2015 at CIARI,Garacharma by putting up a stall showcasing the activities of the Department.

·         Awareness Programme organized with allied sector at Ferrargunj Community Hall.

·         Awareness Programme was organized by NABARD in association with the Department of Agriculture on 16th June’2015 in the Conference Hall of Zonal Agriculture Office, Goalghar for SHG/JLG.

·         Awareness campaign to mark Digital India Week was organized in 5 Panchayat for the farming community to discuss on various IT initiatives being undertaken by Agriculture Department on 3rd July’2015.

·         Organized Monsoon Festival from 07th to 09th August’2015 by putting up a stall of agricultural products at ITF Ground for sale and for creating awareness to tourists and general public.

·         As a part of Swacchh Bharat Abhiyan, Training/Demonstration was conducted on Vermi composting by the Officers and staff at JNRM College and different schools of South Andaman on 28th Sept.’2015.

·         To commemorate the founding of Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), World Food Day was organized on 16th October’2015 with the theme of “Social Protection and Agriculture: Breaking the cycle of Rural Poverty” at Conference Hall of Zonal Agriculture Office, Goalghar.

·         Awareness Programme on departmental schemes along with allied sector was organized for celebration of Jai Kisan Jai Vigyan Week  at Conference Hall, Zonal Agriculture Office, Goalghar on 28th Dec.’2015.

·         Participated in the Flower Show held on 13th Jan.’2016 as a part of Island Tourism Festival (ITF)’2016 at ITF Ground.

·         Awarded 2nd prize to Shri Samsuddin S/o A.Mohammed R/o Ograbraj as State Level Best Farmer at valedictory function of ITF’2016 at ITF Ground, Port Blair on 18th Jan’2016.

·         Organized “SHG HAAT” at ITF Ground w.e.f. 04th to 06th March’2016 for sale of different agricultural produce of farmers and SHG along with the departmental farm produce.

·         A programme was organized at NIC, Port Blair for witnessing “Live Webcast” of National level

“Krishi Unnati Mela” at IARI, Pusa Campus, New Delhi on 19th March’2016.

·         Kisan Mahasammelan was organized on 27th March’2016 at Manglutan Community Hall for launching Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY)

·         Farmers Meet was organized in the Conference Hall of Zonal Agriculture Office on 29th March’2016 for the beneficiaries covered under CDB Scheme of “Laying out Demonstration Plot in coconut garden”

·         Gram Sabha was attended from time to time conducted by the Panchayat.

 

Staff deputed for Training & Exposure visit

 

·         Deputed 03 staff for attending off campus training programme of EEI, Hyderabad on “Training skills and methods of capacity building” from 22nd to 25th June’2015

·         Participated by all Officials for 2 days HRDP in Kharif for pesticide dealer/farmers/NGOs

w.e.f. 29th to 30th October’2015 at Conference Hall of Zonal Agriculture Office, Goalghar.

·         Deputed a staff to brief the schemes of Agriculture Department during the Awareness

Campaign-cum-peoples Education Programme organized under PMEGP Scheme and HRD Programme by Khadi and Village Industries Board at CommunityHall, Bindraban on 18th Nov.’2015.

·         Deputed a Official to impart training on Mushroom Cultivation organized by National Cooperative Union of India, Co-operative Education Field Project, Ministry of Agriculture and Co-operation at Community Hall, Collinpur on 2nd December’2015.

·         Deputed 5 farmers from Neil Island with a field functionary for the training on “Organic Farming”

     at Jalgaon District of Maharashtra on Dec.’2015,

·         Deputed 02 Officials for attending Model Training Course on “Integrated Farming System for

      Tropical Islands at CIARI, Port Blair from 27th Jan. to 03rd Feb.’2016.

·         Deputed 04 Officials for Off campus training programme on “Soft Skills for Personality

Development ’’from 16th to 19th Feb.’2016 at Conference Hall of Directorate of Industries, Port Blair.

·         Deputed 08 Officials to Raj Niwas to liaise and guide the general public visiting the Official

      Residence  of Lieutenant Governor at Raj Niwas from 25th to 28th Feb.’2016.

·         Deputed 06 farmers for attending training on Bee Keeping at Bee keeping Training Centre,

      Kanyakumari under the National Horticulture Mission scheme – “Human Resource

      Development”.

·      Deputed 3 farmers from Ferrargunj village for participation in State level Seminar-cum- Exhibition

      on “promotion of Organic Agriculture for sustainable Development in A & N Islands on 15th & 16th

       March’2016 in the Conference Hall of Megapode Resort, Port Blair.

·      Deputed 3 farmers to attend the National Level “ Krishi Unnati Mela” at IARI, Pusa Campus,

      New Delhi from 19th to 21st March’2016.

·      Deputed 7 farmers from different villages of South Andaman along with 3 Officials for Study

      Tour/Exposure visit to Sikkim under the National Horticulture Mission scheme – “Human

      Resource Development”.
