• ·         In SBCL unit, mass multiplication of bio-agents, is under taken.

• ·         Bio-agents are released in the farmer’s field for control of insects, pests of rice and vegetables.

• ·         Presently mass multiplication of rice moth and egg parasitoid-Trichogramma is being done.

• ·         Monitoring and surveillance of insect, pest and bio-agents situation on major crops.

• ·         Three species of Trichogrammas are multiplied ie Trichogrammas chilonis, Trichogrammas japonicum and  Trichogrammas brasiliensis.

• ·         Trichogrammas  japonicum  and Trichogrammas chilonis control pests of paddy and vegetables.

• ·         Where as Trichogrammas brasiliensis control pests of vegetables only.

• ·          During the month of January, 2016 about 344 Nos. of Tricho cards have been prepared and 133 Nos. of Tricho cards released in the farmer’s field.

•           -Mayabunder -25 Nos. Tricho cards

•           -Diglipur-   41 Nos. Tricho cards

• ·         In other words produced 1720000 Nos. of Trichogrammas.

• ·         Preparation of Tricho card & their subsequent releases are also in progress.
