Minor Irrigation Section of this department taking projects under the schemes namely...
AUGMENTATION OF MINOR IRRIGATION IN ANDAMAN AND NICOBAR ISLANDS.
This objective of this scheme is to create additional irrigation potential by construction of minor irrigation ponds and distribution of pump sets to the cultivators on loan cum subsidy basis.
Subsidy for Ponds and Pump sets.
1/3 cost of ponds/pump sets is provided by the department as subsidy
2/3rd as loan by NABARD/Shramdan incase of Minor Irrigation Pond and cash contribution in case of pump set.
